Working Out, Losing Weight, Getting Fit

It’s never easy to lose weight. Not all people are gifted with great genes. Most of us have trouble preventing the extra biscuit from getting into our limbs. You may be slim and fit during your teens, but your metabolism rate has slackened by the time you reach your thirties.

Losing of your love handles and extra weight isn’t just a physical game. It’s a mind and body affair. It’s something that you can’t win without conditioning both physical and mental state.

For some, losing weight is a vicious cycle. You gain this unnecessary pounds that you want to lose. You start to diet and exercise, but each time you see yourself with the added weight you become depress, thus leading you to eat some more and gain weight. It’s a sad, sad and very vicious cycle, indeed.

Sure, you have tested every diet there is in the market. You have even gulped down several slimming pills and supposed miracle products available in the market. You have sweated it out on the treadmill and have enrolled in various gym memberships. But somehow, the pounds you want to lose just won’t budge. Just what exactly is wrong?

It may be a deficiency of discipline or a lack of consistency on your part, but whatever it is, it should be fixed soon because the longer you have the weight on, the harder you become depress with your lack of progress. Try changing your routine if it’s boredom that’s killing your drive to work it out. Or if motivation is the problem, give yourself a reward each time you accomplish something, like a treat to the movies on a weekday after a stringent jog across the town for an hour. That should help you look forward to completing your workout routine every day.

If that’s still not working for you, try giving yourself your own stimulus package. This means that you will give yourself a reward even before you start earning it.

Because losing weight is such a vicious cycle that is both physically and mentally agonizing, it is more depressing each time you step into a weighing scale and see that rather than losing the pounds, you are gaining more. If this is similar to your own case, then give yourself a more fit body even before you begin losing weight.

You can enter a health program that helps lose weight faster or ask a physician to remove all your fats for you. After losing the pounds, then start exercising. You can do to see yourself in a slimmer frame, thus giving you an idea that you in a perfect figure is achievable. This will give you an optimistic attitude to work out, and will help you get motivated to maintain your body.

A word of advice, though. This type of incentive plan shouldn’t be misused. You are giving yourself a stimulus package to put a stop to the cruel cycle you may be in and begin a healthier phase. Don’t rely on it every time you gain an extra weight. It will defeat your entire purpose of losing weight to stay healthy.
